The workaround solution as follows:

  1. Open the command prompt with administrator rights. Click Start, then type ‘cmd’ in the search box. After that, right click ‘cmd’ and select ‘Run as administrator’
  2. From the cmd prompt > type:
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh int tcp set global rss=disabled
  3. Each command should return ‘Ok.’
  4. Restart your machine and navigate to your shared network folders

If you are using Kaspersky 2010 and your Internet Explorer could not load any page, you might have encountered Sun Java Runtime 6.x (JRE) ssvagent.exe problem.

Workaround solutions:

  1. Launch Windows Task Manager (right click on taskbar – start task manager), then kill ssvagent.exe (JRE Add-On which is loaded when you launch the IE).
  2. ssvagent

  3. Go back to Internet Explorer 8, Tools –> Manage Add-ons –> Toolbars and Extensions –> Disable Java(tm) Plug-In 2 SSV Helper. Wait until it is Disabled, then close and restart your Internet Explorer.
  4. ssvagent1

HTC Touch Pro@768

nueOverClockTest is a simple utility to test how your device overclocks – its just a test version, so the usual disclaimers apply. I’ll note these things so far:

(1) MSM72xx devices do not overclock well. Usual behavior is auto-restart, or lockup.
(2) Overclock seems to be stable on AC, but not stable on battery. Seems to be PMIC related, so I’ll have to work on a way to get that working.
(3) Might be possible to pull one of the backup PLLs down a bit, so I’ll have to look into that
(4) This is nowhere near a final version, expect more configuration options etc.

Do you notice if your notebook processor performance is not running optimal even though you plug AC adapter? This is caused by Intel SpeedStep to minimize power draw and heat dissipation.

I guess you have tried to solve this problem when you are not using battery as the power source. If you tried to use Notebook Hardware Control (NHC) to lock your processor speed as maximum speed, you will find the processor speed is still not locked as maximum speed because NHC does not disable the Intel Centrino Core Duo and Core 2 Duo Intel SpeedStep.

The solution is to use RightMark CPU Clock Utility to lock and optimize the Intel Core Duo or Intel Core 2 Duo processor speed. Do not forget to set the Power Options (in control panel) to “High Performance” (Windows Vista/ Windows 7) or “Always On” (Windows XP).
